Hab ich doch heute Morgen am Erb Park tatsaechlich ein Dutch Colonial entdeckt, dass dem unseren fast aehnlich sieht!
Die Schneeberge in der Stadt werden immer hoeher.:)
Heute Morgen war es wunderschoen draussen. Strahlendblauer Himmel, Vogelgezwitscher,
kein Mensch unterwegs, dafuer Stau am Mall...
und nur -7 Grad, kein Lueftchen, und ich
haette gern meine Schlittschuhe ausprobiert.:)
Es schmilzt bei anderen Leuten...
Und hier bei uns...

Diesen Winter wird Wisconsin wohl den Record aufgestellt haben mit Schneefall bisher. Es sollen circa 70 inch bisher gefallen sein, und etwa 2 Fuss hoch liegt er auf unserem Grundstueck, bzw. in der Stadt und umliegenden Gemeinden. Das hoert sich viel an, ist warscheins das meiste was ich bis jetzt gesehen habe. Wie man sehen kann, wissen die Leute bald nicht mehr wohin mit dem Zeugs.:) Und fuer Montag wurde schon wieder ein neuer Schneesturm angekuendigt.Hurra...
This Winter, Wisconsin probably has reached its record high with 70 inches of snowfall so far. We've got around 2 foot in our own yard, the city and suburbs. Sounds like a whole lot, but that's the most snow in a season I've ever seen! People don't know where to put the stuff no more.;) And Monday we have another snow storm coming. Hurra...

I think you have got Northern Michigan beat when it comes to snow. We get plenty of snow but it looks like you get a lot more. How much would you say you have on the ground in those photo's?

No I'm not a "Yooper". Anything north of US 10 is considered Northern Michigan. I live in a small town called Fairview (population 536). We only average about 60 inches of annual snow fall a year. Other parts of Michigan mostly west of I-75, Lake Michigan shore line in the Lower Peninsula, and along the Lake Superior shore gets ungodly amounts of snow do what is called lake effect snows. We rarely get lake effect snows off of Lake Huron do to the fact the winds usually come from the northwest.
Jason, thanks for the info. I am no expert when it comes to snowfall around the lakes. This is enough for me tho! I've never been so far into MI to up where you live. I have made it into Mackinaw City from my side and Holland/K'zoo on your side.:)
